Forty Years After Exploring the Moon, What Next?

Would we there be a trip to Mars? Or would we bases be built on the moon? NASA is still studying about landing on the Mars or moon even though they have several failures. NASA plans to create a new space vehicle to success landing on the Mars. The plan is to go back to the moon by 2020.

Most people wish that they would go to moon or Mars in the future. However, some people think it negatively because NASA plan was spend federal budget too much. Fortunately, now, NASA spends the money less than before. Some people think a crisis might be on the earth. The environment is ailing.

All things considered, I think our environment is getting worse, and our environment resources are exhausted. An astronaut, Franklin Chang Diaz said," There's no way to stop that outward movement." I agree with the astronaut saying because the more people's resources are been exhausting, the more people want to find new places to live instead of the earth. This situation would be inevitable.

From a Small Clinic, a New Voice in the Nation’s Health-Care Debate

I'd like to talk about Dr. Regina Benjamin. She has a master's degree in business. She works at a Gulf Coast fishing village. The town has around 2,500 people. However, about 40 percent of the people don't have health insurance because many people in the town are immigrants from Vietnam, Cambodia, and so on.

Therefore, they can't afford to pay medical treatment fees. They are too poor so when they go to Benjamin hospital, they bring shrimp or fish instead of money. Benjamin also accepts it.

She has a lot of humanity. She wants to build new clinic to prevent disease. The focus is personal because, her family died of various diseases such as lung cancer, diabetes, AIDS. Through her family death, she has a lot of success. She became the first black woman on the board of the American Medical Association. Even though she has success, she still mops water off the floor herself.

When I read the news, it was so impressed as I couldn't believe it. Is this humanity possible especially in the hospitals or clinics? I knew the U.S hospital insurance was so expensive. so, many people couldn't pay insurance and they couldn't go to the hospital in the U.S. However, Dr. Benjamin understands poor patients situation and she helps the patients as the best she can. If there are doctors like Dr. Benjamin in the world, it may be change the world. I suddenly think the novel I read, pay it forward. Did she know the novel that pay it forward. Might not she practice for a kind of pay it forward? :)

South Korea’s President Gives His Fortune to Charity

I read happy news about my country. The president Lee Myung-bak decided to donate $26 million worth of his property to help needy students in our nation.

In 2007, he ran for president. At the time, he promised then to give away his wealth. He thought poor people had helped him "become who I am now." He said he wants to return the favor.
Many people thought he favors the rich , so he never keep his promise. However, he kept the promise. some people thought why president Lee suddenly donated his wealth.

They had a bad point of view and others had a good point of view. In a bad point of view, Lee wanted to change his image that recent polls show support for Lee is down. The other side, Lee really wanted to help poor students. Also, the optimist said that we should not have a prejudice against Lee's office.

In my opinion, I also support Lee and I'm so proud of my president.:) His action was very nice.Through the event, I wish our nation will grow more. Thus, I wish his donation will really be used for a good cause.

President Plans to Give $12 Billion to Community Colleges

These days, many amreican people have lost jobs and some of people who lost the job would not come back the same jobs. They need to fine new careers.
However, it is difficult to find new careers for people who find new careers. They have to train for new skills. Also, They who lost jobs want to learn new skills.

Therefore, The U.S government has a plan. The plan is workers can learn new skills at community colleges in order to find new career job easily.
However, many community college lack enough staff and class space to serve new students. For the reasons, Obama will give $12 Billion to two - year school to help the schools.

I suddenly wonder. As expected, Would this plan help the workers who lost jobs? If the workers who lost jobs learn new skills, can they find jobs easily after graduating the community college?
